Jim Langley

VICE PRESIDENT

Jim Langley is Vice President of UniBond and has been with the company since 2001.

Before building his career at UniBond, Jim served for ten years as both Vice President of Sales and National Sales Manager at Marathon Brake Systems. He has worked in the Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer aftermarket space since 1982, in various leadership roles in aftermarket sales businesses, and was owner of Southern Fleet Supply in Houston, Texas for many years.

Jim completed the “Finance for Non-Financial Executives” Program at the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Rice University in Houston.

Dewey Johnson

PLANT MANAGER

Dewey Johnson is UniBond’s Plant Manager and also serves in the same role at Amanda Manufacturing Michigan, formerly known as MSD Stamping.

In 1999, Dewey started as a shift supervisor at MSD and was soon promoted to manage production and, eventually, the entire plant. He earned a Lean Manufacturing 5S Certificate of Excellence for his company-wide cost-savings work and he has also contributed directly to MSD’s reception of four GM Supplier Quality Excellence awards.

Dewey graduated from Malcolm X Academy in Detroit and studied business management at Henry Ford Community College and the University of Phoenix.

Brad Pritts

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Brad Pritts is UniBond’s Technical Director, overseeing engineering while supporting its quality system and worldwide sourcing processes.

Since 1980, Brad has consulted to many automotive industry clients on quality, engineering management and certification development and, at Uni-Bond, he develops programs closely tailored to customer needs. Brad has presented at conferences, won industry awards, and published journal articles on automotive quality management in Quality Progress and TQM Magazine.

Brad holds a B.S. from Ohio State University, an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and is an ASQ certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Lisa Moore

HR MANAGER, PURCHASING AGENT & MATERIAL CONTROLLER

Lisa Moore is UniBond’s Human Resource Manager, Purchasing Agent and Material Controller.

Employed by UniBond since 1985, Lisa began working in the accounting department part-time while she finished her degree. After graduation, she went full-time, adding human resources to her responsibilities. She soon took over much of the plant’s material requirements planning and supply purchasing. Her philosophy is that it is her job to ensure that all employees are able to do their jobs successfully.

Lisa earned an Associate’s of Applied Science in General Business degree, with a concentration in Accounting, from Macomb Community College and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Walsh College.

Jenna Jones

CONTROLLER

Jenna Jones serves as a Controller for UniBond, where she’s worked since 2015.

With several years of experience as an automotive manufacturing controller, Jenna works hard to provide accurate reporting and quickly available data to simplify and improve efficiency across company operations.

Jenna holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Accounting from Michigan Technological University.

Lonny Smith

QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

Lonny Smith has served as UniBond’s Quality Assurance Manager for 35 years.

Over his nearly four decades of work at UniBond, he has served an instrumental role in UniBond’s participation in the General Motors Targets for Excellence Program and its QS9000 certifications. His work also helped the company earn a Q1 Award from Ford Motor Company.

Lonny has been employed with UniBond since shortly after his graduation from Center Line High School in 1975.

Jack McConnell

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR & LOGISTICS MANAGER

Jack McConnell has served as UniBond’s Production Supervisor and Logistics Manager for four decades.

Since 1983, Jack has taken pride in ensuring high production standards and overseeing shipments of superior quality brake components to UniBond’s customers around the country.
Jack studied offset printing at Macomb Community College in Michigan.

Damian Fernandez

VP ASSEMBLY & DISTRIBUTION

Damian Fernandez is Vice President of Assembly and Distribution for Deshler Group, UniBond’s parent company.

He previously served as Director of Operations, Costa Rica, for Deshler and Plant Manager of Amanda International. Amanda International develops and manufactures cold and technical formed rod, metal and wire products for numerous applications, supplying quality parts throughout the Americas.

Damian’s extensive engineering and management background includes more than 15 years in the automotive industry and senior management positions with GM Mexico, EMPFERA Group, and others in Mexico, the U.S., and Costa Rica. Having served as a corporate business director of multi-national operations, Mr. Fernandez speaks several languages and has strong experience in quality and business management.

Damian holds bachelor’s degrees in industrial engineering and in statistical natural resources management from the Advanced Studies University in Mexico.
